| Fashion Magazine :: Model consent forms |

| Fashion Magazine :: Statement of intent |

My brief is to create two fashion magazine issues each for a succeeding season as well as a working website with a homepage and linked page with a similar house style.

I will portray late summer nights by going into the city in the evening when all the bright lights are on. I want the colour of the lights to be reflected on my models skin, the glow representing the happiness from being around friends and the freedom of being young. I want my model's outfits to have a retro feel with denim, stripes and brightly coloured jackets. This theme fits in very well with my target audience as well as the time of year, allowing this magazine to be successful. The contents page will have a similar location setting and colours but with two models to fit the conventions of typical fashion magazine. I want to incorporate a male to represent the small percentage of male readers and show that I'm inclusive of my whole readership but also offering gifts for subscribing online.

The autumn edition will have muted colours with heavy features of burgundy to highlight the artistic flare of the brand. I would like to take the photos inside an authentically designed cafe, somewhere that resembles a campus or a park with orange and brown leaves falling off trees. The model will have their natural hair out with minimal make-up and will dress comfortably with an element of class to promote an autumn style of fashion also fit for a working or studying environment. On the contents page I want to focus more on the environment and atmosphere to emphasise the season.

For the homepage I will use other images from my test shots as thumbnails for articles, as well as, secondary images showcasing fashion from celebrity events. To keep the minimal look, there will mainly be images alone with a small description of the article beside it to resemble those of other successful fashion magazine websites. At the top of the page there will be a link to subscribe, the title of the magazine brand and menu bar with all the linked pages. The accessible link will be under lifestyle and show all the different places where you can take photos primarily to show off outfits. This is to relate to photographers who are both amateur and professional which also promotes the website. The video on the lifestyle page is to promote my first edition to get the audience excited and make them want to have fun like the models in the video.

My magazines link to the website by promoting more benefits like exclusive information of rewards for subscribing if accessed online. There are photos of the models displayed within the magazine and categories from the contents page on the menu bar to deepen the relationship between the magazine and the website. I was able to add more information and footage from the magazine that you wouldn't be able to receive in the physical copy of the magazine, for example, the Magazine 'trailer'. With the use of the website, the audience can easily subscribe to the magazine and have it delivered to their house which is much more convenient.
